Frequently asked questions
What are the fees?
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2023–2024 sets the standard fee for a 46 to 60 minute psychology consultation at $300. At Radiance Psychology, located near Bangalow and Byron Bay, fees are $170 for a 55-minute therapy session with a psychologist (this psychological service is eligible for a Medicare rebate of $96.65). A concession rate of $140 per session is available in cases of financial difficulty (Healthcare Card required). Our services include counselling, psychotherapy, and evidence-based support for a wide range of mental health concerns.
Are the therapy sessions confidential?
Yes. Psychologists registered and working in Australia are bound by a strict Code of Ethics, which forms a key part of professional standards in the field of psychology. This includes maintaining client confidentiality and privacy across all therapy, counselling, and psychotherapy services. All enquiries and therapy sessions are
private and confidential.
Confidentiality will only be broken if there is a perceived significant risk to life, harm to others, or under court subpoena. If you have specific concerns regarding the privacy of your personal information, please don’t hesitate to discuss them directly with Lea.
